Yesterday I took my Mom to the Green Living Show in Toronto to check out the exhibits and make some eco-freindly purchases.
Located at the Metro Toronto Covention centre, The Green Living Show is North America’s largest consumer show dedicated to simple solutions for leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. They had vendors there for every consumer need; fashion, beauty, housewares, travel, automative, etc. It’s the crème de la crème of sustainable innovations.
The show was fantastic. For me, two particularly amazing experiences stood out. The first was talking to the lovely ladies at TAMGA Designs, an eco fashion brand with an innovative, responsible and quality-driven supply chain. I first came across this brand at the Green Living Media Event held last week and was blown away by how soft and beautiful the fabrics were. I literally could not stop thinking about their clothes, which is how I knew I had to pick something up (#OOTD post coming soon). The ladies at the booth were kind and knowledgable and took the time to explain the brand’s supply chain and how the clothes are made from eucalyptus trees (how incredible is that?)! We had fun gushing over sustainable fashion and all the way to style the dresses. They only make 100 of each style so you know you’re wearing something unique.
The second fabulous experience was speaking with Anna, the owner of Fitglow Beauty, a makeup and skincare brand that uses plant sciences to create “evidence based natural beauty”. The products are all cruelty free, paraban free, and toxin free so they’re right up my alley. It’s great getting to speak with people who share your passion and desire for cleaner, more eco friendly products.
I also picked up some other eco-products at the show including granola from Urban Hippie Granola, enzymatic drain cleaning sticks from ecozone, and a delicious-smelling clementine bath bomb from Sweetgrass&Rain.
